Who We Are...

As with most Animal Rescue groups, C.A.R.E.S. is represented by an all volunteer Board of Directors. We all have full time jobs and families to care for. That does not stop us from finding some time to spend trying to save as many pets as possible! Sometimes we don’t seem to find enough and feel like we are just barely staying afloat. You can help. Consider joining our Board of Directors or becoming a Foster Parent and volunteering some of your time to help save lives!!!

I looked at all of the caged animals in the shelter. The cast offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal… And I was angry. “God”, I cried “This is terrible!” “Why don’t you do something?” There was silence for a moment. And then, God spoke softly, “I have done something”, He replied, “I created you.”

Judy - President / Treasurer - Phoenix, AZ

Judy is a 30 year veteran in Animal Care, 23 of those years in the Veterinary field. She has volunteered for domestic animal and wild life rescue during her entire Veterinary career. Behavioral issues and geriatrics are her special interests, two major causes of homeless animals.

Brenda - Vice President - Scottsdale, AZ

Brenda is an enthusiastic and faithful dog lover. Her big heart has much room for hurt, homeless and sick animals.

Kevin - Web Guy - Phoenix, AZ

Kevin is a first time dog owner, but is a long time dog lover. He started with CARES to develop this web site, but gradually became active with the rescues and the rescuers. He found his forever friend through CARES and he can’t imagine not having Gracie in his life.
