“Dig What Hole?”

Sidney is a 6-month-old female Border collie mix. She came to C.A.R.E.S. from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, east side location where she was facing the “doggy death sentence”. Sidney is spayed, current on all vaccinations, well socialized with people and other animals and is learning several basic commands.
Sidney is learning to trust humans more each and every day. She is very intelligent and learns her obedience commands with ease. So far, she knows sit, come and wait very well. In addition to basic commands, she is kennel trained and completely house broken. She is a puppy still, so Sidney has to be provided with several appropriate chew toys. Sidney’s manners were nonexistent when she came to me, but has evolved greatly. She takes her treats very gently, waits her turn in the “pack order” and is respectful of her humans... meaning she listens very well to voice commands. Sidney shares her foster home with 4 Rottweilers, a Jack Russell mix, 1 cat and a rat. That being said, you can tell that she is very socialized. She likes to play with the other dogs, but would prefer to just be with her people. Sidney loves to be touched, talked to softly and just being loved.
