This poor young pup was pulled from the Pima County Animal Care and
Control facility. She was facing death because she had a cough.
She did have an upper respiratory infection that has since cleared up
and left us with a happy healthy pup. That is, until 9 days ago.
Breezy developed a slight limp in one of her front legs, seemingly her
shoulder. Giving her a few days to see if she had just hurt it during
her puppy play, did not relieve the limp. In fact it got worse. After
a visit to the vet and several x-rays, a defect was found in her left
shoulder. Blood work was run and she has only mild inefficiencies, but
nothing that would cause this defect, i.e. Valley Fever.
For now, Breezy has been placed on pain medication and will be watched
very closely. She will be re-x-rayed and re-tested for Valley Fever in
28 days. Due to her condition, she will not be available until she is
well. Please keep her in your thoughts. If you would like to help out
with some of her Veterinary costs, please see our
donation page.
