About CARES

Won’t you please consider opening your heart to a homeless pet?

Companion Animal Rescue & Educational Services is a 501(c)3 Non Profit (Pending) organization made up of all volunteers sharing concern and passion for the sad situation of homeless animals. Located in the state of Arizona, we work primarily in the Phoenix Metropolitan area and outlying communities. There are satellite advisors in the Flagstaff and Tucson areas as well. Our contact with the public is generated through the Internet, Adoption and Fundraising events, literature, private consultations and referrals, as well as our work with and support of other rescue organizations in our state.

Our primary goal is to match rescued, adoptable dogs and cats with caring families who’s desire is to provide a loving and safe environment for them for the rest of their natural lives. This is a task done with great enthusiasm and respect for the displaced animal’s needs.

Education of the Public is of great importance to C.A.R.E.S. Many of the unwanted and abused animals in our community suffer from behavioral and health issues that the previous care givers could not handle. With education on how to properly train, provide positive guidelines, and how to care for the special needs of the four legged family member, a happy home environment is just a ‘pet’ away.

OUR MISSION . . .

Is to facilitate the safe and permanent adoption of homeless and abused animals through the work of volunteers, charitable donations and the rehabilitation of these animals.

By increasing the public’s awareness of the homeless animal’s tragic fate, and the use of education as a preventative measure, we will decrease the occurrence of neglect, abandonment, surrender and abuse of domestic animals.
